Frostburg State Tops Washington & Jefferson in ECAC South Men's Soccer Tournament
Second-seeded Frostburg State took down visiting eighth-seeded Washington & Jefferson 2-1 in the opening round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Tournament on Wednesday night.
Seniors Michael Norman and Kunle Akinfeleye each tallied second-half scores to lift the Bobcats (13-6) to the victory.
With the win, FSU advances to the tournament semifinals for the first time since 2008 and will face off against Lebanon Valley on Saturday at a time yet to be determined. Top-seeded Swarthmore, a 2-0 winner over Penn State Abington, will host the semifinal and final rounds this weekend.
