Four from CAC Earn ECAC Men's Soccer South All-Star Team Honors

Four from the CAC were named to the ECAC Men's Soccer South All-Star team, announced on Thursday. Salisbury's Nathaniel Eiben and Marymount's Rodney Ngoh earned first team honors, while Salisbury's Drew Staedeli and Frostburg State's Mitchell Muise were second team selections. 

Eiben, a defender, helped Salisbury to the 19th-ranked team goals-against average in the nation, allowing just 0.62 goals per game. Also selected as a first-team All-CAC pick, Eiben got involved on the offensive end this season, scoring four goals and adding an assist.

Staedeli, the Sea Gulls' goalkeeper, closed out a tremendous four-year career in goal, registering a 43-11-8 career record and a 0.60 goals-against average through his 64 games played. In 2015, the Ellicott City, Maryland native led the CAC and ranked fifth nationally with a .890 save percentage while he finished second in the CAC and 21st nationally with a 0.63 GAA, earning second-team All-CAC honors.

Salisbury won its eighth CAC title in 2015, qualifying for the NCAA tournament for the 13th time in program history, going 13-4-3 on the year.

Ngoh, a defender for Marymount, made his way onto the ECAC first team. Ngoh shot into the collegiate spotlight quickly in his first year on the pitch, leading the Saints to their best record since 2010 with a 7-9-1 tally. The freshman MU in scoring with six goals and an assist for 13 points. Of the six finishes, four were game winners, which led the CAC and placed him 62nd in the nation. This is Ngoh's second postseason accolade of the year, earning a spot on first-team All-CAC back in November. The first-team nod was just the 11th in program history.

Muise, a senior defender for Frostburg State, helped guide the Bobcats to an 11-6-2 overall record, including a 5-3-2 slate in the CAC. Muise started all 19 games in his final season and helped the Frostburg defense to a 0.75 goals against average. FSU also allowed the second fewest goals in the CAC (12) and finished third with nine shutouts. On the other end of the field, Muise scored three goals, including two in CAC action.
