The NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship bracket was released on Monday afternoon, with Capital Athletic Conference champion Christopher Newport slated to play Montclair State (16-5-1) in the opening round in a neutral site matchup at Messiah in Grantham, Pa.

The Captains (17-2-1), ranked No. 24 in the most recent NSCAA national rankings, will begin their 10th NCAA Tournament appearance against the Red Hawks on Saturday, Nov. 12 with game times to be determined.

The other first round matchup will feature the host Falcons (15-0-3), ranked No. 5 in the country, taking on Centenary (13-5-1). The winning teams will advance to play in the NCAA Tournament Second Round on Sunday, Nov. 13, with a spot in the NCAA Sweet 16 on the line.

All four schools in the four-team pod made their way into the 2016 NCAA Tournament via automatic qualifiers through the conference championships. Christopher Newport captured the CAC title, Montclair State the NJAC, Messiah the MAC Commonwealth, and Centenary the CSAC.

The Captains will travel to Grantham, Pa. for the first time since the 2003 regular season. It will be the first postseason appearance for CNU in the state of Pennsylvania, as they travel to the home of 10-time national champion Messiah College.
