Mary Washington's Alex Anderson Completes NCAA Championships With 22nd Place Finish In The 200 Breaststroke
Mary Washington freshman Alex Anderson placed 22nd in the morning trials of the 200 breaststroke Saturday, the final day of competition in the 2012 NCAA Swimming Championships.
Anderson's effort in the 200 breaststroke finished in 2:06.47, less than two seconds off the mark needed to qualify for the evening championship races. His qualifying time was 2:05.87.
Earlier in the week, Anderson earned Honorable Mention All-America recognition with a 14th-place finish in the 400 IM and also finished 42nd in the trials of the 50 freestyle.
