Mary Washington senior Jeff Leckrone and York sophomore Keven Stahl and junior Justine Wantz have been selected to compete at the 2018 NCAA Division III Swimming Championships. The championships will be held March 20-23 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships.

Leckrone is ranked in the top 10 nationally in two events - he is ranked seventh in the 100 yard breaststroke, with a seed time of 54.89, and ranked ninth in the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:00.47. He will also compete in the 100 yard butterfly.

Stahl will make his second national championship appearance as the sophomore earned All-American honors in the 1650 freestyle as a freshman a year ago becoming just the second York College men's swimmer to earn All-American honors in school history. Stahl will be competing in the 500 freestyle as well as the 400 IM at this year's championships. Stahl comes in to nationals after 24 individual wins as well as three victories at the Capital Athletic Conference championships a few weeks ago.

Wantz becomes the first York College female swimmer to go to the national championships in program history. Wantz will be competing in three events, the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 200 backstroke. Wantz had a strong junior campaign with 11 individual victories as well as four relay wins on the year. At the CAC championships, Wantz won three titles and now has five CAC titles on her resume.

This also marks the first time York will send two swimmers to nationals.
