York sophomore Keven Stahl had another big weekend as he won three individual races at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational this weekend. Stahl won the 1650 freestyle, the 400 IM, and the 500 freestyle. Stahl notched a time of 15:57.97 is the top time in the CAC so far this year while it ranks third in the nation in the event. His 400 IM time of 4:02.43 is fourth in all of Division III while his 500 freestyle time is also fourth best in the nation so far in 2018-19. Stahl leads the Spartans with 11 individual wins for the year. Stahl also swam on three relay teams that earned top ten finishes during the weekend including a pair of fourth place finishes in the 400 medley relay and the 800 free relay.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Salisbury's Richard Baker claimed two individual victories and two relay victories in two meets to open the season...Against Washington College, Baker won the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 1:59.10. He was also a part of the team that placed first in the 200-meter freestyle relay. Against Penn State Altoona, Baker claimed the 200-meter freestyle again and placed first in the 200-meter medley relay... Frostburg State's Adam Stein collected two wins against St. Mary's in the 400 (4:31.27) and 800-meter freestyles (9:23.17) and captured fifth in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:16.06) at the F&M Invitational... St. Mary's College of Maryland's Colin Cassady placed second in the 200 freestyle in 1:51.54 while taking third in the 500 freestyle in 5:09.46 against Washington College and against McDaniel he swam a 1:17.76 in the 150 yard free for a first place finish. He also swam a 49.11 in the 100 yard free for another first place finish. Cassady claimed a third first place finish by swimming a 3:02.19 in the 300 yard free... Mary Washington senior Jeff Leckrone finished first in the 200 breaststroke with a first place finish of 2:00.47, breaking the school and meet record, and qualifying provisionally for the NCAA Championships as the current top time in D3... Sophomore Joey Peppersack broke his second American Paralympic record of the season, breaking the mark for the 200 freestyle by nearly five seconds. The Eagles finished first at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational.
