Mary Washington & Christopher Newport Advance to CAC Men's Tennis Tournament Championship

Mary Washington held serve and Christopher Newport went on the road to earn the victory as both the Eagles and Captains will faceoff on Saturday (May 4) for the 2019 CAC Men's Tennis Tournament Championship for the fifth straight season.

Top-seeded Mary Washington will host the title match after a 5-1 win over No. 4 Southern Virginia, while No. 3 Christopher Newport took down No. 2 Salisbury on the road by the same 5-1 margin.

UMW picked up points in No. 2 & 3 doubles before closing out the contest with No. 3 & 6 singles triumphs. The Eagles will attempt to win their second consecutive and 24th CAC title in program history on Friday.

CNU earned victories at No. 1 singles, No. 3 singles and No. 4 singles along with capturing points at No. 2 & 3 doubles to clinch the spot in the title match. The Captains are seeking their second title after winning the 2017 crown.
