Salisbury junior CORY BEEBE (Medina, Ohio/Cloverleaf) was named the CAC Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the second-straight week after winning four events and being named the Track Athlete of the Meet at the Mason-Dixon Championships at Frostburg State. Beebe swept top honors in the 400 (48.63), 400 hurdles (55.72), 110 hurdles (14.94) and the javelin (50.72) to lead the Sea Gulls to its first team title in the four-year history of the event.

Salisbury junior CORY BEEBE (Medina, Ohio/Cloverleaf) was named the CAC Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week after posting the fastest time in NCAA Division III this season with a 52.60 time in the 400-meter hurdles at the Penn Relays. In finishing 13th overall out of 48 runners in the event, Beebe automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.

Mary Washington junior JASON DRISCOLL (Haymarket, Va./Battlefield) was named the CAC Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week after becoming the first runner in school history to post sub-four minutes performance for the 1,500-meter run. Driscoll covered the distance in 3:59.73 at Lynchburg College, breaking the record of 4:00.29 set by Jason Hough in 2004.

Salisbury Jr. BRANDON FUGETT (Randallstown, Md./Cardinal Gibbons) and Wesley So. MATTHEW ROBERTSON (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) were named the CAC Men’s Track & Field Co-Athletes of the Week. At the Penn Invitational in Philadelphia, Fugett improved on his school record marks in the shot put and discus and finished second in both events. In the discus, Fugett threw a distance of 161 feet and three inches which is tops in Division III this spring and improves his provisional status for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. In the shot put, Fugett threw a distance of 52 feet, three and three quarter inches, third best for all of Division III this spring and improves his NCAA provisional status. Robertson shattered the school record in the 400-meter dash by nearly a second as the Wolverines competed in the Osprey Open at Richard Stockton. Robertson’s time of 50.85 was nearly 1.5 seconds faster than his previous season best and nearly one second faster than the old school record of 51.71.

Salisbury Jr. BRANDON FUGETT (Randallstown, Md./Cardinal Gibbons) and York Fr. DARREN McKOY (Baltimore, Md./Mount Saint Joseph) were named the CAC Men’s Track & Field Co-Athletes of the Week. Fugett broke his own school record, set just a week ago, with a second-place finish in the shot put (15.8 m; 51-10) and provisionally qualified for the NCAA outdoor championships with a 47.48m (155-9) gold medal performance in the discus at the Terrapin Invitational at the University of Maryland. McKoy anchored York’s school-record 4x100 relay team that placed second overall (42.91) and had the fastest trials time (11.36) in the 100-meter dash before registering a second-place finish in the finals with an 11.30 effort. He also helped the 4x200 relay team and the sprint medley relay teams to silver medal performances.

Hood senior MATT HAYNES (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) and Salisbury junior CORY BEEBE (Medina, Ohio/Cloverleaf) were named the CAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Co-Athletes of the Week after record-setting performances at the Salisbury Opener this weekend. Haynes finished second in the hammer throw, then posted school records with a third-place finish in the discus (108-10) and a fourth-place finish in the javelin (154-4). He helped lead the Blazers to second place in the team standings. Beebe, a two-time All-American, set a school record and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in his first 400-meter hurdles race of the season (53.20). Beebe also doubled his gold by capturing top honors in the 110-meter hurdles (15.04).
