2011 CAC Track & Field Championship Meet Suspended By Lightning; Scheduled To Resume Sunday At 10 A.M.

Due to lightning, the 2011 Capital Athletic Confeference Track and Field Championships have been suspended and are schedule to resume on Sunday, April 17.

The men's 5,000-meter run and the men's discus are slated to commence at 10:00 am. The women's 5k will be followed by both 4x400 relays, the final events of the championships.

Heading into Sunday's competition, Salisbury has 183 team points and a comfortable lead over second-place York (131).  Mary Washington is in third place with 107 points.

In the women's standings, York has 138 points, followed by Salisbury with 117 and Mary Washington with 109.33.

Salisbury is the defending champion in both men's and women's track & field.
