York Junior Tim Hartung Breaks The CAC Record In The 5,000-Meter Run At The Penn Relays
Tim Hartung (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) captured a seventh place finish in the 5K at the prestigious Penn Relays late Thursday evening.
Hartung earned seventh place after crossing the finish line 14:26.58, less than seven seconds behind first place.
"Tim was aiming for a sub 14:30 today," said head coach Erick Camodeca. "I am really impressed by his performance. I knew he had it in him and am happy he was able to get it done today."
Hartung's time also breaks the current CAC and school records in the 5K, which he set last season with a time of 14:39.84.
