Salisbury's Luke Campbell Earns ECAC Weekly Track & Field Award

As part of a busy and successful week of awards for Salisbury University sophomore Luke Campbell, the track & field star picked up another accolade, being named the Division III South Athlete of the Week by the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

The honor comes for the Brunswick, Md., native's performance in last weekend's Capital Athletic Conference championships where Campbell led the men's team to the league title with three victories and a third-place finish.

Campbell won the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in 14.05 seconds, the fastest time in the nation this season. He also took the top spot in the 400-meter hurdles and anchored the 4x400-meter relay team to a win. Campbell and the 4x100-meter relay team finished third.

Campbell was also named the CAC Athlete of the Year and the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III Athlete of the Week for his performance at the CAC meet this week.
