CAC Athletes Ready for NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

A conference-record 27 student-athletes from five institutions will represent the CAC at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, set for May 21-23 at Merrick-Pinkard Track & Field Complex in Canton, N.Y. 

Live results and live video will be available for the championships. To follow along, click the links below. Events begin on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and conclude with the final event Saturday at 5 p.m.

Below is a brief preview of each of the five CAC teams sending athletes to the national championships. For full team-by-team previews, click the links associated with each team. 

Christopher NewportCNU will send a pair of relays to the title meet, while five Captains will also compete in individual events. The women will be represented by Enuma Ezenwa, Logan Harrington, Leah Richardson, and Jennifer Westerholm, while Jordan Roach, Ryan Scott, Daulton Teaford and Dominique Torres will compete on the men's side. Overall, the eight representatives mark the most Captains at the national meet since 2008.

Frostburg State - J.R. Lowery will represent the Bobcats in the shot put. Lowery, who recently broke the Frostburg State school record in the shot put, will compete on Saturday, May 23 at 11:30 a.m. He enters the field as the 10th seed with a 16.64 mark. 

Salisbury - The Salisbury men garnered seven selections, with six individual and two relays, while the women tallied one individual bid. On the men's side, Luke Campbell leads the way as he looks to defend his national titles in the 110- and 400-meter hurdles. Joining Campbell on the men's side are Tyler Austin, Devon Hopkins, Dylan Burkett, Zach Schmelz, Jerel Madison and Eric Halton. The lone representative for the women will be Meghan McGowan in the high jump. 

Wesley - The Wolverines will send nine total men's competitors to the championships, with four individuals and two relay squads. Patrick Schlosser, DaJahn Lowery, Matt Bundy and junior De'Vaughn Trader will compete in individual events, the most individual qualifiers in program history. Schlosser, Lowery and Bundy will also contribute to the 4x100 and 4x400 relays along with Greg Taylor, Dominic McAnulty, Vicco Bedell, Anthony Brinkley and Urgy Eado

YorkRobert Doster will compete in the javelin for the second straight year for the Spartans. The junior will compete on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
