The 2017 CAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set for this Friday and Saturday, April 21-22, hosted by the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va. 

The two-day competition begins on Friday with a handful of events at 2 p.m., including the pole vault, long jump, shot put, discus and 10,000-meter runs. Day two on Saturday includes field events beginning at 10 a.m. and running event finals at 12:30 p.m. 

The Christopher Newport women will look to continue their championship winning streak this weekend. The Captains are seven-for-seven in CAC Championships since joining the conference in 2013-14, capturing four straight indoor titles and three consecutive outdoor crowns. 

On the men's side, Christopher Newport snapped Salisbury's winning streak at last year's outdoor meet, securing its first-ever conference outdoor crown. When combining the indoor campaign, the Captains have now secured three straight CAC titles.
