Frostburg State sophomore John Kerns was selected as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after opening the spring side of the indoor schedule with ECAC qualifying marks in the weight throw. Kerns won the weight throw at the WVU Open with a toss of 16.38 meters, and captured second in the same event at the Orange and Maroon Open hosted by Susquehanna (15.10 meters). His 16.38-meter toss ranks second in the CAC and 37th in Division III.
