Salisbury junior CHRIS BARNARD (Olney, Md./Sherwood) was named the CAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after placing eighth overall and was the first CAC runner across the line at Elizabethtown’s Battle for the Buggy at Lancaster County Park. Barnard covered the 6,000-meter course in 20:48, leading the Sea Gulls to third place in the team standings.

St. Mary’s freshman DAN SWAIN (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) was named the CAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after placing second overall and leading the Seahawks to fourth place in the team standings at the Hood Open. Swain’s time of 28:07.47 was less than three seconds off the winning pace, earning the SMC newcomer silver medal honors for the second time this season.

St. Mary’s freshman DAN SWAIN (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) and York freshman STEVEN CHILDRES (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Saint Joseph) was named the CAC Men’s Cross Country Co-Athletes of the Week after their performances in the York Invitational I. In his second collegiate meet, Swain placed second overall in the York Invitational I, covering the 8,000-meter course in 27:38.95, leading the Seahawks to second place in the team standings. Childress crossed the finish line third individually and lead the Spartans to the team title at the York Invitational I. Childres’ time of 27:52.38 was tops among the five YCP runners that finished among the top nine individuals in the 50-runner event.
