Jacobs covered the course in 17:14, outlegging Southern Virginia’s Benjamin Awkerkamp for his first collegiate individual victory and helping the Blazers to the championship in the four-team event.

Salisbury senior CHRIS BARNARD (Olney, Md./Sherwod) was selected as the CAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after placing fifth overall, and first among CAC runners, in the Gettysburg Invitational. Barnard’s time of 26:15 on the 8K chase helped the Gulls place third among 25 teams, second among NCAA Div. III teams.

Mary Washington sophomore SCOTT PLUNKETT (Annandale, Va./Annandale) was selected as the CAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks after leading the Eagles at the DeSales Invitational. Plunkett finished ninth individually with a time of 27:16 in the 8K chase, helping UMW place fifth in the team standings.

Pasko was the first CAC runner across the finish line, fourth overall, and covered the Rudy Park course in 27:33.66.

Mary Washington junior CHRIS MARINO (Portland, Conn./Portland) was selected as the final CAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week after leading the Eagles at the McDaniel Green Terror Invitational. Marino finished first overall in the 3K race in 9:43, then placed fifth overall, behind two UMW teammates, in the 5K chase (16:51). Marino helped the Eagles win both team championships.

In a meet that included a dozen Division I, II and III teams, Barnard was the first CAC runner across the finish line, finishing third overall, in 26:07.
