Myers opened the year by winning on the XC opener at Mary Washington with a time of 15:20, defeating the second-place finisher by more than four seconds. He improved his time at the same race last year by 1:16. 

Men's Cross Country Honor Roll

Joey Lightbody | Christopher Newport | Jr.
Lightbody led the Captains to the team title at the Mary Washington Opener after placing third in the 5k. During the race, he finished in 15:27.7. Overall, Christopher Newport won the event with a score of 21 - out-distancing runner-up Mary Washington by 33 points. 

Robert Romano | Frostburg State | Sr. 
Romano ran to an eighth-place finish as he covered the 6k course in 20:15.8 at the Ninth Annual Galen Piper/XC Challenge at Shippensburg. It was his first top-10 effort in four meets at Shippensburg and was his 10th top-10 finish of his career. While his official finish was eighth, he was the sixth collegiate runner to cross the finish line.

Jeff Gibson | Mary Washington | Jr.
Gibson was UMW's top finisher at the UMW Opener, finishing in seventh place at 15:48. The Eagles took second place in the meet.

Tyler Wilson | St. Mary's | Fr.
Wilson finished 31st out of 80 runners in his first NCAA meet at the Salisbury Fall Classic. Ran a 28:25.90 overall. 

Conner Masteran | Salisbury | Sr.
Masteran took second place at the Salisbury Fall Classic on Saturday, running the 8,000-meter course in a time of 25:48, just one second behind race winning Matt Russo from Rowan.

Matt Zubrycki | York | Sr.
Zubrycki was York's top finisher at the 9th Annual Galen Piper Invitational hosted by Shippensburg. Zubrycki finished 40th with a time of 21:12.2. He led a pack of six straight Spartans that all finished in a row for York.
