Wesley Senior Angie Owens Leads Four CAC Players Onto The 2011 D3hoops.com Women's Basketball All-Region Team

Wesley senior forward Angie Owens, the 2011 CAC Co-Player of the Year, was a first-team choice on the D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region women's basketball team and one of four CAC players named to the squad.

Owens is a three-time All-CAC honoree, including first-team honors in 2009 and 2011.  She joined third-team all-region choice Cory Boyd in leading the Wolverines to fourth place in the CAC regular season, an appearance in the playoff championship game and a berth in the ECAC South Championship Tournament.  Boyd was also a first-team all-conference team member with Owens.

Marymount senior forward Maame Amponsah, who was the CAC Co-Player of the Year with Owens, was a second-team choice on the all-region squad.  Amponsah led the Saints to second place in the CAC this season.

Joining Boyd on the D3hoops.com all-region third team was Mary Washington junior guard Jenna McRae, who earned first-team All-CAC recognition.  McRae led the Eagles to the 2011 CAC regular-season title.
