Mary Washington sophomore guard CLAIRE HAEUPTLE (Robbinsville, N.J./Peddie School) was selected as the CAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 18, 2013 after her strong play off the bench last week, leading UMW in scoring in both wins that secured the second seed in the 2013 conference playoffs for the defending champions. Haeuptle dropped in 22 points on 71% shooting from the field (5-for-7), including a pair of long-range bombs, and 10 free throws to help UMW stop York. She added a team-best 16 points, including four threes, in Saturdays win over St. Mary’s.

Marymount senior forward TYNISHA PARKS (Lorton, Va./Hayfield) was selected as the CAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 11, 2013 after recording consecutive double doubles and shooting 50% from the field in two key conference contests. Parks had 21 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, four steals, a blocked shot, a perfect night at the free throw line (5-for-5) and shot 53% from the field in a midweek win at Salisbury. She followed up with 13 points and 14 boards in Saturday’s decision over St. Mary’s that clinched the top seed in the 2013 CAC playoffs for the Saints.

She had 10 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots in a midweek win over Salisbury, then put forth a dominating performance in Saturday’s setback against Marymount in the battle for first place. Dye had game-highs of 14 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocked shots while adding two steals and an assist against the Saints.

York junior forward KRISTEN HALEY (Silver Spring, Md./Georgetown Visitation) was selected as the CAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 28, 2013 after recording three-straight double-doubles, scoring her 1,000th career point during a career-best 27-point outing and leading the Spartans to three victories. Haley started the week with 14 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots in a win at McDaniel. She followed with 22 points and 10 caroms in a home victory over Washington & Lee. Saturday, she reached her scoring milestone in the first half on the way to 27 points, hitting 62.5% from the field (10-for-16) and 12 rebounds against St. Mary’s.

Salisbury sophomore guard ANNA HACKETT was selected as the CAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 3, 2012 after scoring 59 points in three games and leading the Gulls to the championship of SU’s Optimist Tournament. Hackett hit 10 field goals in both tournament games on the way to 50 points and added six rebounds, eight assists and six steals during the weekend. For the week, Hackett averaged 19.7 points, shot 54.5% from the field, 2.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.7 steals.

Diop started the week with a career-high 15 points and added 10 boards in a victory over Shenandoah. Against Greensboro, she had 10 points, 10 caroms, four assists and a steal. She was also efficient throughout the week, hitting 56% from the floor (14-for-25).
