Salisbury Senior Sarah Seipp Earns CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week Award
YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury senior Sarah Seipp was honored as the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 17, 2014.

Seipp was named the CAC Player of the Week after leading the Sea Gulls to the Morgan Stanley Tip-Off Tournament title at DeSales. Seipp posted a pair of double-doubles on her way to Tournament MVP honors, averaging 17.5 points per game, including a game-high 21 points in the championship game on Sunday against the host Bulldogs. She also controlled the boards, averaging 11.5 rebounds per game to go along with 3.5 steals per contest.

Mary Washington, Marymount, Salisbury and York claimed tournament titles over the opening weekend ... Christopher Newport is the lone CAC team ranked in the preseason national polls, landing at No. 18 in both the D3hoops.com and WBCA/USA TODAY Coaches' Polls. York is receiving votes in both polls, with Salisbury receiving votes in the WBCA/USA TODAY rankings ... Christopher Newport's Camry Green hauled in 17 rebounds in both of the Captains first two games as a part of the Guilford Marriott Invitational, and also led CNU with 14.5 points per game. Rookie Bailey Dufrene was named to the All-Tournament team ... Ronje James led Frostburg State to the championship game of the 2014 Jim Crawley Tournament and earned All-Tournament honors, averaging 25.0 points per game ... Coming off the bench for Mary Washington, freshman Taylor Barton gained MVP honors at the UMW/Hyatt Place Tipoff Tournament. Senior Aubrey Howland and freshman Taylor Dean also gained All-Tournament honors ... Marymount junior Miranda Krott posted two double-doubles, including a 16-rebound performance in the title game, on her way to Tournament MVP honors at the Pablo Coto Tip-Off. Kievanna Lacey also earned a spot on the All-Tournament team for the Saints ... Penn State Harrisburg's Kaitlyn Carmo was named to the All-Tournament team at the McDaniel Tip-Off ... Salisbury's Anna Hacket joined Sarah Seipp on the All-Tournament team at DeSales ... Wesley's Brionna Johnson earned Neumann Tip-Off All-Tournament Team honors, scoring a career-high 30 points with 17 rebounds vs. Kings (Pa.) in opener and going for 15 points and 18 boards in the title game. Johnson's 30-point performance marked the first time a Wesley player scored 30 points in a game since Jazmine Miller scored 30 against Centenary (N.J.) on Dec. 22, 2011 ... Shea Wassel powered York to the team championship of the 8th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Classic over the weekend, earning Tournament MVP accolades. Wassel posted a pair of double-doubles, including a game-high 16 points and a career-high 21 rebounds in the Spartans 55-44 victory over Ursinus in the title game. Her 21 rebounds were just one short of tying the York school record of 22, established by Mandy Crabbs. Katie Wagner also secured All-Tournament team recognition for the Spartans.
