YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington senior Megan Green was honored as the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 25, 2016.

Mary Washington senior Megan Green was honored as the CAC Player of the Week after nearly reaching a triple double as the Eagles topped Southern Virginia, 74-50, on Wednesday in their only action of the week. Green scored nine points, and added nine rebounds and 10 assists for the Eagles, who improved to 13-3 overall and 7-2 in league play at the midway point of the regular season. She yields 7.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per contest.

First-place Marymount (8-1 CAC) holds a one-game edge over CNU, UMW and York atop the CAC standings ... CNU's Sam Porter notched a double-double on the road in a 63-58 win over St. Mary's with 12 points and 12 rebounds. CNU is riding a nine-game winning streak ... Courtney Young tallied a double-double (13 pts, 14 reb) for Frostburg State in a loss to York ...
