NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Bracket

Marymount and Christopher Newport each secured neutral-site victories in the first round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament on Friday evening, advancing to Saturday's second round. 

No. 17 Marymount defeated MIT 58-54 to move on to the second round for the third year in a row. The Saints were led by a game-high 17 points from Nicole Viscuso, while Regan Lohr totaled 13 points and Leah Hurst compiled 10 points and six assists. 

Rochester (N.Y.) topped Stevens 69-57 in the other regional in Rochester. The host and 15th-ranked Yellow Jackets (22-4) will host Marymount (25-3) on Saturday at 7 p.m. with a spot in the Sweet 16 on the line. 

No. 20 Christopher Newport downed Haverford 63-50 in Ashland, Va. The Captains (24-4) will take on regional host Randolph-Macon (23-5) on Saturday at 7 p.m. Randolph-Macon knocked off Valley Forge 67-56 in the nightcap of the regional in Ashland. This marks the Captains third straight trip to the NCAA second round. 
 
CNU had three players finish in double figures led by sophomores Micah Maloney and Kiana Kirkland with 12 points apiece, while senior Anitra Thomas added 11 points off the bench.
