Southern Virginia sophomore forward Katie Garrish continued her incredible play recording her seventh double-double of the season, her fourth consecutive. She dropped 23 points on 56.3 percent from the field and shot 83.3 percent from the charity stripe. Along with scoring, she continued her dominance on the boards with 12 rebounds and added a pair of blocks in the victory over Bethany (W.V.) to continue the Knights eight-game winning streak.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Frostburg State's Victoria Yoder poured in 23 points on 50 percent shooting with six rebounds and five assists in a 74-62 victory over Mt. Aloysius...Christopher Newport's Jessica Daguilh posted 18 points in a win over Lynchburg before the Captains dropped a contest to Emory & Henry...St. Mary's Hallie Persell led St. Mary's to a 2-1 week over the holiday break, averaging a near double-double. Persell started the week with her 4th double-double of the season on 12 points and 12 rebounds plus two blocks. She followed that up with two more double-digit scoring games, including 14 points in a tough loss to Suffolk. Persell currently ranks second in the conference in rebounding, third in free throw percentage, and fourth in blocks per game...Mary Washington's Jordan Pamlanye led Mary Washington to a pair of wins at the Puerto Rico Shootout, scoring six points and grabbing eight rebounds in a 55-27 win over Edgewood and adding 12 points and eight caroms in a 63-41 win over Virginia Wesleyan. She shot 53% from the field (8-15), adding three assists and three steals...Salisbury's Amber Onyekwere led the Sea Gulls to a victory over Cabrini College on the final day of the Las Vegas Hoopla tournament with a team-high 17 points. She shot 42% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc in the contest. Between two games at the tournament, Onyekwere scored 21 points, collected 12 rebounds, made five assists and collected three steals.
