FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Christopher Newport freshman Natalie Terwilliger was tabbed as CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 19, 2018.

Christopher Newport freshman forward Natalie Terwilliger was selected as the CAC Player of the Week despite playing an average of 12 minutes per game so far, the freshman forward ranks second on the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 10.0 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. She has registered a pair of double-doubles with 12 points, 10 rebounds against Stevenson and 12 points and 13 rebounds against CCNY. She also scored in double figures in a 77-52 win against Virginia Wesleyan. Terwilliger is shooting 53.3% through her first four games, including 50% from three (5-10). She has also grabbed 5 steals and blocked 6 shots. The Captains are off to a perfect start 4-0 start.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

St. Mary's Hallie Persell earned All-Tournament Team honors at St. Mary's Fourth Annual Dan Greene Memorial Invitational after collecting back-to-back double-doubles - the first of her career. Persell started the tournament with career-bests of 12 points, 12 rebounds, and six blocks in the Seahawks' first win of the season over Randolph. She then set new career-highs with 20 points and 13 boards in a tough 74-70 loss to Bridgewater. Persell connected on a career-best 11 free throws in 12 tries in that game. She started the season with a then career-best 11 caroms against Mary Baldwin. Persell is currently averaging a double-double with 12.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg. She also leads the CAC with 3.3 blocks per game while ranking second with 10.3 rebounds per game...York's Kayla Ferris averaged 12.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 2-3 week start for the Spartans, which included a season-opening double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-66 win at Messiah...Mary Washington's Erika Carter nearly averaged a double-double through her first three college games, netting 10.7 points and 9.0 rebounds. She scored 23 points in a 73-43 win over William Peace on Friday, making 10-15 shots and grabbing 13 rebounds...Salisbury's Kaylyn French led all Sea Gulls by averaging 21.7 minutes per game over Salisbury's first three games of the season. She led in scoring with 38 points and helped lead her team to a 3-0 start on the season. French also pulled down 14 rebounds, distributed three assists, and recorded eight steals over the first week of the season...Penn State Harrisburg's Rachel Miller was the catalyst for Penn State Harrisburg's 3-0 start to the 2018-19 campaign. She poured in a career-high 23 points in a season-opening victory over Lancaster Bible, shooting 77.8 percent from the floor and 5-of-6 from 3-point territory. The senior followed it up with four points in just four minutes of action in a win at Trinity (D.C.) before netting 12 points to go along with two rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals in a victory over Cairn. For the week, Miller averaged 13 points, 1.3 rebounds, one assist and one steal per contest.
