CAC -- The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its third weekly awards of the 2019-20 women's golf campaign. Christopher Newport sophomore Shreya Ganta claimed CAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors after a strong showing for the Captains.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Shreya Ganta - Christopher Newport

Sophomore Shreya Ganta helped lead CNU to a top-ten finish at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational. Ganta tied for 20th in the 95-player field featuring some of the top Division III golfers in the nation. She scored a 233 in the three-day tournament with a 77-80-76 line. Ganta logged 31 pars in the 54-hole event

LEAGUE NOTES

York's Jordan Koller had a strong week for the Spartans in two tournaments for the Green and White. Koller shot 85 at the CMU Fall Invitational in a loaded field on Tuesday. The tournament featured 10 teams that were either ranked in the top 20 or receiving votes. This past weekend, Koller led the way for the Green and White as she shot a two-day total of 164 to place tied for tenth at the NYU Invitational. Koller shot matching 82's for the Spartans as she was two strokes out of ninth and 13 strokes back of tournament champion Holly Davenport from Williams. Koller paced the Spartans in the fall as she posted an average of 79.71 strokes per round. She had two top five finishes and three top tens in York's four tournaments.
