CAC -- The Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) has announced its weekly awards following the first week of the 2019-20 women's golf campaign. Christopher Newport junior Erica Whitehouse claimed CAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors after an impressive performance at the national preview.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Erica Whitehouse - Christopher Newport

Christopher Newport junior Erica Whitehouse finished tied for 11th at the DIII Women's National Preview, helping the Captains capture a seventh place finish as a team. She signed for a 237 (+21) with a 78-78-81 run in the two-day tournament. Whitehouse ranked fourth in Par 3 scoring (3.00) and led the team with six pars.

LEAGUE NOTES

Mary Washington's Andrea Dill opened the 2019-20 season with a T-9 finish at the Southern Virginia University Knight Invitational on Saturday. She shot a +12 round of 84 on the day...Rachel Honeycutt led Southern Virginia with a round of 83 to finish seventh.
