Top-seeded Salisbury University won the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) women's lacrosse tournament championship contest with a 14-11 victory over #2-seeded Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 18-1 overall, setting a new school record for wins in a season, and gives them their fifth consecutive conference championship and their seventh overall title. With the win, Salisbury earned the conference's automatic berth into the upcoming NCAA tournament, which will begin with competition on Wednesday, May 9.
