Seventeen CAC women's lacrosse players were named to the 2011 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) all-region teams, including eight first-team honorees.

CAC champion Salisbury, along with second-place Stevenson and fourth-place York, each placed four players on the all-region squads.  Mary Washington, which tied Stevenson for second place and advanced to the CAC title game for the third-straight year, earned three all-region berths while St. Mary's, which tied York for fourth place, had one all-region honoree.

Senior attack Trish DiGirolomo, senior defender Liz Filgueras and junior midfielder Alyssa Fowler represented Salisbury on the Chesapeake Region first team while junior midfielder Allie Wheatley was a second-team all-region pick.

Stevenson placed two on the Chesapeake Region first team, including senior attack Lisa Baker and junior defender Sarah Pincus.  The Mustangs also had two second-team honorees in junior goalie Jenny Schroeder and senior attack Megan Weiss.

York, which is in the Metro Region, also had two first-team all-region picks and two second-team picks.  Sophomores Leah Schultz (midfield) and Kim Wayson (attack) were Spartans who earned top-level recognition while classmates Tina Nicklas (GK) and Katie Vautier (defense) were second-team choices.

Mary Washington junior Catherine Kennedy, the 2011 CAC Player of the Year, was a first-team Chesapeake Region choice while classmates Jenny Atmar (defense) and Allie Kimmelman (attack) gained second-team recognition.

St. Mary's senior Aubrey Mirkin was the final CAC representative on the second-team Chesapeake Region squad.

Fifteen of the 16 CAC first-team all-stars were named to all-region teams this year along with second-team All-CAC honorees Nicklas and Kimmelman.
