IWLCA Honors 8 CAC Players And 4 Teams With 2013 Academic Recognition
The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) honored eight players and four teams for academic excellence during the 2013 season.
The IWLCA has recognized 86 schools as earning 2013 IWLCA Division III Academic Squad honors for the 2013 season. Every school with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher earned Academic Squad honors, including NCAA semifinalist Middlebury College. Thirteen of the teams that participated in the 2013 NCAA Championships were named Academic Squads.
Representing the CAC on the Academic Squad list were Marymount University, St. Mary's College of Md., Wesley College and York College of Pa.
Individually, the IWLCA honored 382 student-athletes from 67 different institutions with inclusion in the 2013 Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically.

Mary Washington junior Angela Sperbeck
Marymount senior Ilze Spilde and junior Kathryn Digiacomo
St. Mary's senior Amelia Tenberg
Wesley senior Tristin Burris, who was the CAC nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year award, and senior Jennifer Jacobs
