Three CAC lacrosse teams remain alive in the NCAA Tournament, with all three set to compete this weekend. The Salisbury and York women's teams will play in the Sweet 16 on Saturday, while the Salisbury men await a semifinal matchup on Sunday.

The Salisbury men are the lone CAC men's team remaining in the field, and will host Eastern Shore rival Washington (Md.) College in Sunday's semifinals at 7 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium. Sunday's other semifinal features Tufts (19-2) at Rochester Institute (20-0).

The two semifinal winners will meet in the NCAA Championship on Sunday, May 25 in Baltimore, Md.

The final four appearance marks the fifth straight for the Sea Gulls. Salisbury is seeking its 13 national championship game appearance and 10th NCAA title. The Sea Gulls have won two of the last three national titles, with victories in 2011 and 2012.

Salisbury and Washington (Md.) College met earlier this year in the annual "War on the Shore" showdown, with the Sea Gulls capturing a 12-7 home victory on March 19 - handing the Shoremen their only defeat of the season. The Sea Gulls (20-1) enter the matchup with the Shoremen (18-1) riding a 10-game winning streak.

On the women's side, Salisbury and York will compete in the Sweet 16 on Saturday, with the Elite Eight slated for Sunday. Salisbury (19-1) hosts a four-team regional, facing off against Augustana (Ill.) (19-0) at 11:30 a.m., while York (15-4) travels to Amherst, Mass. to take on host Amherst (16-2) at 4 p.m.

Salisbury, the defending national champions, will look to advance to the Final Four for the 10th time in program history. The other Sweet 16 matchup in Salisbury will feature Franklin & Marshall (16-2) and SUNY Geneseo (17-2). The two winners will meet in Sunday's quarterfinals at Sea Gull Stadium.

York and the host Lord Jeffs are the second game of Saturday's doubleheader in Amherst, with game one featuring TCNJ (18-1) and Washington & Lee (17-2). The Spartans are making their second straight appearance in the NCAA Second Round, looking for their first-ever trip past the round of 16.
