19 Women's Lacrosse Players Earn IWLCA All-Region Accolades

IWLCA All-Region Teams 

Nineteen CAC women's lacrosse players received All-Region recognition from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), announced Friday. Ten received first-team honors, while nine landed on the second team.

Mary Washington and Salisbury led the way with five apiece on the Chesapeake Region team. For UMW, sophomore goalie Hanna Ashby, junior defender Kirsten Littlefield, and senior midfielder Emily Mott were named to the first team, while senior defender Maiah Bartlett and sophomore attacker Mackenzie Maguire were named to the second team.

Salisbury junior midfielder Allison Hynson, senior defender Kieran Kelleher, and junior attacker Dana King were first-team selections, while junior goalkeeper Gianna Falcone and senior midfielder Gabbi Nieves were each chosen to the second team. 

Christopher Newport and York each placed three on the all-region squad. For CNU, Catie Chess and Meaghan Galvin were selected to the first-team All-Chesapeake team, while Sarah Culver received second-team accolades. 

York sophomore Nicole Clauter and freshman Meghan Fox earned first team honors while fellow freshman Regan Cook earned second team accolades. 

The St. Mary's duo of senior midfielder Erika Kopf and senior defender Mackenzie Rayburn were tabbed as second-team All-Chesapeake region. 

Frostburg State freshman midfielder Nikki Hallikas was selected to the second team in the Chesapeake Region.
