Salisbury and Mary Washington Women's Lacrosse Advance to NCAA Second Round; Marymount Moves on to ECAC Championship

NCAA Women's Lacrosse Bracket

Salisbury and Mary Washington each posted neutral-site victories in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, advancing to Sunday's second round. 

Mary Washington topped Meredith 11-5 in Lexington, Va., while Salisbury defeated Regis 19-2 in Clinton, N.Y. 

UMW (15-5) will take on Washington & Lee (16-1) in the second round on Sunday at 1 p.m. Salisbury (14-5) will meet Hamilton (12-5), also at 1 p.m. York (14-3), which received a first round bye, will host host St. John Fisher (15-4) at 1 p.m. as well. 

In other women's lacrosse action, Marymount moved on to the ECAC Championship game with a 9-8 triumph over top-seeded Stockton in the semifinals in Galloway, N.J. The Saints (12-6) will take on Misericordia (14-4) at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
