Salisbury and York Women's Lacrosse Advance to NCAA Quarterfinals
Salisbury and York each posted victories in the round of 16 of the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, advancing to Sunday's quarterfinal round.
Salisbury downed Ithaca 12-8 in Gettysburg, Pa., while York defeated Messiah 8-7 in Hartford, Conn. The Sea Gulls will be making their second straight quarterfinal appearance and 10th in the last 11 years. SU will take on host Gettysburg on Sunday.
York advanced to the quarterfinals for the second time in the last three years. The Spartans will take on host Trinity (Conn.) on Sunday.
