Christopher Newport freshman Catherine Leighty earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after tallying three goals, three assists and 12 draw controls in a 22-8 victory over Frostburg State on Sunday. Leighty notched a career-high three assists and coverted each of her three shots into goals for a 100% shooting percentage. Her 12 draw controls established a new freshman record at CNU equaled the second-highest single-game total in program history. It also tied the most by any player in the CAC this season.

Salisbury senior Gianna Falcone was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this spring after recording a 6.50 goals against average and 62.9 save percentage in 2-0 week against nationally-ranked opponents for the third-ranked Sea Gulls. Falcone totaled 22 saves while allowing just 13 goals in wins over William Smith and York. In a 12-8 win over then-No. 13 William Smith College, Falcone recorded nine saves on 17 shots on goal. In an 8-5 victory over No. 5 York, Falcone held the Spartans to just five goals on 18 shots on net, good for a 72.2 save percentage. She also picked up six ground balls in the win over York.

Three CAC women's lacrosse teams are ranked in the top-10 of the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national rankings - Salisbury is No. 3, York is No. 5, Mary Washington is No. 6 and St. Mary's is receiving votes ... Frostburg State first-year Jara Matlick scored seven goals and handed out two assists in a 1-1 week for the Bobcats ... Junior Hope Lockwood scored four goals for No. 7 Mary Washington as they defeated No. 13 Messiah, 14-10, for the Eagles' first ever win over the Falcons in four all-time meetings ... Marymount senior Abby Wescott continues to hang at the top of the assist leaderboard with 26 this season, adding two more to go along with two goals at Shenandoah on Thursday ...  Ali Collie paced St. Mary's in its loss at Randolph-Macon with a career-high six points for the second time in her career as Collie notched a career-best five goals for the second time in as many games. Megan Cannon came up with a career-best seven draw controls and two caused turnovers to help out the defensive end while adding three ground balls and a goal for the Seahawks ... Southern Virginia junior Miklain Hardy led the Knights with a pair of goals Saturday in a non-conference loss to Mount Saint Mary ... Wesley's Paige Brehm recorded eight points (five goals, three assists) along with four ground balls, two ground balls and a caused turnover against Delaware Valley. Francesca Benitez paced the Wesley defense against Delaware Valley with three caused turnovers and five ground balls ... Salisbury senior Krissy Murphy tallied five points in a 2-0 week for third-ranked Sea Gulls. She recorded one assist in a 12-8 win over then-No. 13 William Smith College while scoring two goals and adding two assists in Salisbury's 8-5 win over York. Head coach Jim Nestor earned his 300th win as Salisbury head coach in the win against York.
