Nine from CAC Earn IWLCA All-America Honors

Nine CAC women's lacrosse players have been named to the 2019 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America Team, announced Wednesday. York led the way with four selections, Mary Washington landed three on the squad, Salisbury posted two with Christopher Newport taking one spot. 

York senior defender Nicole Clauter secured first team accolades for the third year in a row, while junior attacker Meghan Fox also earned first-team laurels for the Spartans. York junior midfielder Devin Hursey and junior midfielder Regan Cook claimed second-team accolades. 

Mary Washington senior goalkeeper Hanna Ashby earned first-team laurels to lead the Eagles. UMW senior attacker Maguire Mackenzie landed on second team, while senior attacker Julia Albert achieved third-team status.

Salisbury senior defender Martha Hutzell positioned herself on the second team and was joined by her SU teammate sophomore attacker Alexis Strobel who collected third-team accolades. 

The CAC contingent was rounded out by Christopher Newport senior attacker Sarah Culver who achieved third-team distinction.
