IWLCA All-Region Teams

A total of 20 CAC women's lacrosse players received All-Region recognition from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), announced Wednesday. Twelve received first-team honors, while nine landed on the second team.

Mary Washington and Salisbury led the conference with six selections apiece on the All-Region squads. UMW's Julia Albert, Hanna Ashby, Cole Rylie and Mackenzie Maguire earned first-team All-Chesapeake-Region honors, while Sarah Hampton and Paige Haskins represented the Eagles on the second team.

The six individuals from Salisbury landed on the All-Chesapeake squad, led by Martha Hutzell and Alexis Strobel on the first team. Kendall Bannan, Skye Graham, Gabby Mongno and Lindsey Wagner collected second team honors for SU.

York placed five on the Metro Region first team, including four first teamers - Nicole Clauter, Regan Cook, Meghan Fox, and Devin Hursey - who all earned First Team accolades for the second consecutive season. Claudia DiVenti earned second-team recognition for the Spartans.

A pair of Christopher Newport players received All-Chesapeake-Region accolades, with Sarah Culver and Julia Golden earning first-team laurels. Both individuals received recognition last season as well.

Caitlin Katchmar from St. Mary's received second-team awards for the Seahawks for the second consecutive year.

The IWLC honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2019. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team.
