St. Mary's Gains First-Ever Bid To NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament

Fresh off its first CAC Championship Game win, the Seahawks of St. Mary's College will advance to the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament for the first time in team history.

The Seahawks (12-2-3), who edged York College Saturday in the CAC Championship by a 1-0 margin, will travel to Lynchburg, Va., for Saturday's first-round clash against Emory (13-3-1).

If SMC can get by Emory, the Seahawks will play either host Lynchburg (19-0-3) or Maryville, Tenn. (17-3-1) in Sunday's second-round.  The game times for the Lynchburg regional have not been announced.

The 61 teams selected for the national championship tournament will be vying for the opportunity to play in the championship game Dec. 6 (site and time TBA).
