Hood sophomore goalie RACHELLE BUHRMAN (Smithsburg, Md./Middletown) was named the CAC Womens Soccer Player of the Week after posting 200 shutout minutes last week, including a career-high performance between the pipes that helped the Blazers record the first CAC playoff victory in school history. After playing scoreless first halves in games against Notre Dame (Md.) and Mary Washington, Buhrman registered a career-best 16 saves and rejected three out of four penalty kicks in the game-deciding shootout to lift the sixth-seeded Blazers past third-seeded Stevenson in the opening round of the CAC playoffs. Her scoreless streak is now 245 minutes over four games, dating back to Oct. 20.
Stevenson's Brittany Ross Named CAC Women's Soccer Player Of The Week

Stevenson freshman goalie BRITTANY ROSS (Millersville, Md./Severna Park) was named the CAC Womens Soccer Player of the Week after recording 17 saves in 200 minutes as the Mustangs went 1-0-1 on the road to secure third place in the upcoming conference playoffs. Ross was credited with eight saves in a midweek win at York, recording her sixth shutout in 11 wins this season. Ross followed with nine saves while allowing just one goal in an overtime draw at Mary Washington. Its the second time this season Ross has gained the CAC weekly honor.
Record-Breaking Forward Stephanie Eyler Named CAC Women's Soccer Player Of The Week

Stevenson freshman forward STEPHANIE EYLER (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) was named the CAC Womens Soccer Co-Players of the Week after breaking the CAC record for goals in a season. Her six goals last week in wins over Marymount and Gallaudet raised her season total to 21 scores, topping the previous CAC mark of 20 goals in a season set by Gouchers Sarah Weaver in 1997 and equaled by Salisburys Kate Weaver in 2006. With two regular-season games remaining and at least one CAC playoff game, Eyler needs one point to tie Sarah Weavers CAC record of 48 points in a season.

Hood Freshman Jessica Devine Named CAC Women's Soccer Player Of The Week

Hood freshman defender JESSICA DEVINE (Elkton, Md./Elkton) was named the CAC Womens Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three goals and assisting on another as the Blazers went 2-0-1 in the week and extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches (6-0-1). Devine started the week with a goal in each half of a 2-2 tie vs. Goucher. She followed that by scoring the first goal in a 2-0 win over Shenandoah. Saturday, Devine assisted on the game-tying score in what proved to be a 3-1 win over Washington. For the season, shes fourth on the team with 15 points (7 G, 1 A).
Salisbury Freshman Sarah Jessilonis Named CAC Women's Soccer Player Of The Week

Salisbury freshman forward SARAH JESSILONIS (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) was named the CAC Womens Soccer Player of the Week after scoring the biggest goal of her brief career in Saturdays re-match of the 2007 CAC Championship Game. Jessilonis found the back of the net for the first time in her career by deflecting a corner kick with just 42 seconds left in the second overtime to lift the Sea Gulls past York, 1-0.

St. Marys senior forward LAUREN CARRIER (Crownsville, Md./Old Mill) was named the CAC Womens Soccer Player of the Week after scoring five goals in two outings for the undefeated Seahawks. She started the week with a career-best performance, scoring every goal of a 4-0 CAC triumph over Hood, then tallied an equalizer as SMC upended Elizabethtown, the seventh-ranked team in the region, by a 3-2 margin. For the season, she leads the Seahawks with 13 points on six goals and an assist.

Wesley senior forward GINA ORRBEN (Hockessin, Del./A.I. DuPont) was named the CAC Womens Soccer Player of the Week after leading Wesley to the championship of the Wolverine Soccer Classic and earning Tournament MVP honors in the process. Orrben scored a goal in both tournament matches, including the game-winner against the Neumann. In the process, she moved into ninth place all-time at Wesley with 38 points and seventh with 17 career goals.
