Wesley freshman midfielder LINDSEY CAMPBELL (Bear, Del./Padua Academy) was named the CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week scoring both goals in a regular-season ending victory over Marymount that clinched a berth in the 2009 CAC playoffs for the Wolverines. Campbell started all 18 matches in her first season with the Wolverines, finishing the season with five goals and an assist for 11 points and scored Wesley’s only penalty kick attempt of the season.

Stevenson sophomore forward STEPHANIE EYLER (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) were named the CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three goals in two critical conference victories last week that lifted the Mustangs to a share of the 2009 CAC regular-season championship. Eyler, who is leading the CAC in scoring for the second-straight year, scored twice in a 4-1 win over York, which entered the game in first place and unbeaten in conference play this season. Saturday, Eyler assisted the Mustangs to their eighth-straight win with the first goal of the game in an overtime win. Eyler has 15 goals and 33 points this season for the Mustangs, who will be the #2 seed in the 2009 CAC Tournament.

Salisbury freshman defender ERIN MOONEY (Solomons, Md./Patuxent) and Stevenson sophomore forward STEPHANIE EYLER (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) were named the CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week after leading their respective teams to a pair of CAC wins and moved into a tie for second place in the CAC standings. Mooney scored her first two collegiate goals in a 3-1 midweek win at Marymount, then continued her scoring touch with the game-winning goal early in the second half of a 2-0 decision over Hood. Eyler, winning the CAC weekly award for the second time this season, scored three of Stevenson’s six goals last week. Eyler, who leads the CAC in scoring for the second-straight season (12 goals, 27 points), found the back of the net once in a victory at Hood, then scored both goals in a shutout triumph at Wesley as the Mustangs.

York junior midfielder CARLY BOCK (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) was named the CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week after powering the Spartans to a 3-0 week, including a pair of CAC wins. In Sunday’s showdown against 16th-ranked Salisbury, Bock scored YCP’s first goal and assisted on the game-winner in the second overtime. She also contributed an assist in wins against Marymount and Franklin & Marshall earlier in the week, raising her season totals to 11 points on three goals and five helpers.

St. Mary’s senior midfielder SOPHIA ESPARZA (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) was named the CAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three times in two matches for the Seahawks. Esparza found the back of the net twice in a 4-2 victory over 24th-ranked Catholic, then added her third goal of the week, and team-leading fifth goal of the season, in a 2-1 setback vs. Christopher Newport.

Eyler scored her third goal of the season early in a one-goal setback at Catholic, then scored both goals, including the game-winner with 3:33 left in the first overtime, to lift the Mustangs past Elizabethtown. She has scored all of her team-leading five goals in the last five games.

She started the week with a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over non-conference rival Christopher Newpor5t. In UMW’s first CAC clash of the season, Olson scored her first career hat trick in a win over Wesley. She finished the week with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 non-conference win over Averett.

Jones tallied the game-winning goal in the season-opening, come-from-behind victory over Eastern, then scored both goals in a 2-1 win at Hood. She finished the week with a point in Saturday’s shutout victory over Susquehanna.
