Frostburg State And St. Mary's Among Women's Soccer Teams Honored By NSCAA For Sportsmanship

Two Capital Athletic Conference women's soccer teams - Frostburg State and St. Mary's - received the 2010 NSCAA Team Ethics/Sportsmanship Award for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior, and adherence to the laws of the game.

Presented at the College Coaches Awards Reception held at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention on January 13, 72 teams received the NSCAA Team Ethics/Sportsmanship Award for the 2010 season.

The Silver Award is awarded to teams with a maximum of five yellow cards and no red cards.  The Seahawks received just two cautions this season.  SMC picked up the NSCAA Team Ethics/Sportsmanship Silver Award for the second consecutive season.
