Frostburg State Senior Stephanie Fazenbaker Named CoSIDA Academic All-District
For the third year in a row, Frostburg State women's
soccer senior Stephanie Fazenbaker has been
selected to the Capital One Academic All-District II women's soccer
team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of
America (CoSIDA), Thursday afternoon.
Fazenbaker has earned a spot on the All-District team for the
last three years and is one of the 13 first-team honorees this
fall. She is also the only student athlete from the Capital
Athletic Conference to earn a spot on the all-district team.
Fazenbaker is now eligible for the Capital One Academic All-America
team that will be released on November 21.
Currently, Fazenbaker leads the team in points (32) and goals
(14). She is currently second in the CAC in goals and points as
well.
Fazenbaker was a 2013 Capital One Academic Second Team
All-American as well as a 2012 Third Team selection. At the
conference level, Fazenbaker earned a spot on the 2013 All-CAC
second team and 2012 first team. She was a 2013 NSCAA Scholar
All-East Region selection and three-time CAC All-Academic
honoree.
District II consists of colleges
and universities from Connecticut, Washington D.C.,
Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Rhode Island and West
Virginia. To be eligible for the COSIDA Academic All-America
program, a student-athlete must be a starter or significant reserve
with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.
