A trio of CAC women's soccer players were named to the ECAC South All-Star team, announced by the organization on Thursday. Frostburg State sophomore Alyssa Malanik was named to the first team, while senior teammate Brooke Longo and Salisbury senior Casey Arnone earned second team accolades.

Malanik, a defender, garnered All-CAC first team honors earlier in the season and was named an ECAC All-Star after helping FSU to a 1.45 goals against average with seven shutouts. She handed out two assists while starting in all 20 games.

Longo capped a stellar four-year career for Frostburg State by starting all 20 games as a senior with five goals and four assists. She garnered All-CAC honors for the fourth-straight year and was named to the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Third Team earlier this month.

The pair helped lead the Bobcats to a 10-7-3 overall record, including a 6-1-2 mark in the CAC.

Arnone, a defender, helped Salisbury to the best team goals-against average in the CAC and ranked in the top 50 nationally, surrendering just 0.70 goals per game. The Sea Gull defense combined for 10 shutouts last season, leading the league and ranking 27th nationally in shutout percentage.

In 2015, Arnone scored a pair of goals and earned first-team All-CAC accolades. Salisbury went 12-4-2 this season, including a 6-2-1 mark in the CAC, to claim the No. 4 seed in the CAC tournament. Five Sea Gulls, including Arnone, earned All-CAC honors in 2015.
