Six Women, Five Men Achieve All-Region Soccer Recognition

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches has announced the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Scholar All-Region Teams. The CAC is represented by six student-athletes from two teams on the Women's All-South Region Team and five student-athletes from three teams on the Men's All-South Region Team. 

On the women's side both Christopher Newport and Salisbury earned three each. As for the men, Mary Washington and Salisbury both collected a pair of honorees, while CNU rounded out the contingent. 

Student-athletes receiving Scholar All-America recognition at these levels meet the following criteria:

  • 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout career.
  • Started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team.
  • Nominated by head coach of current College Services member institution.
  • Junior or above in academic standing; and, if a transfer student, in second year at school.

Women's Soccer Honorees
1st Team: Shaye Doherty - CNU, Carson Pokorny - CNU, Emma Hill - SAL, Juliana Looney - SAL
2nd Team: Haley Eiser - CNU, Julianna Boller - SAL

Men's Soccer Honorees
1st Team: Ben Ahrens - UMW, Davis Pillow - CNU
2nd Team: Alex Eiben - SAL, Jacob Lobinger - UMW, Ryan Spadin - SAL
