CAC Swimming Teams Compete in Final Tune-Ups for CAC Championships; Mary Washington Men and Women Complete Perfect 5-0 CAC Seasons

In their final tune-ups prior to the CAC Swimming Championships, Mary Washington, Salisbury, and Marymount posted CAC men's and women's victories on Saturday. 

The Mary Washington women defeated York 198-64 to complete a perfect 5-0 conference regular season. The Eagles completed the regular season at 8-1 overall, while the Spartans are now 10-4, 4-1. UMW will seek its 27th conference title at the CAC Championships. The UMW men downed York 161-101, improving to 7-2, 5-0. The Spartan men completed the regular season at 12-2, 4-1. The Eagle men are looking for their 23rd straight CAC crown at the 2017 championships. 

The Salisbury women downed St. Mary's 156-104 to finish the season at 4-7, 2-3. The Seahawks dropped to 1-8, 0-5 following the defeat. The victory on the women's side Saturday afternoon gave SU head coach Jill Stephenson her 100th career win for the maroon and gold. The Salisbury men (4-7, 2-3) topped St. Mary's 148-112. 

The Marymount women downed Frostburg State 112-91 to improve to 5-4, 3-2. The Bobcat women dropped to 10-5, 1-4. On the men's side, Marymount beat Frostburg State 116-87. The Saint men are 5-4, 3-2, while the Bobcat men dropped to 9-7. 0-5. 

The CAC Swimming Championships are set for Feb. 17-19 at St. Mary's.
