Mary Washington senior NATALIA FUGATE (Tall Timbers, Md./St. Marys Ryken) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Womens Tennis Player of the Week for April 14, 2008, after helping the seventh-ranked Eagles improve to 18-3 with two singles wins and two doubles wins in team victories over Hood and Washington (Md.) College Sunday.
Mary Washington's Becky Morse-Karzen Named CAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

Mary Washington junior BECKY MORSE-KARZEN (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Womens Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Eagles to wins over eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon, Swarthmore and Salisbury, the last clinching the regular-season CAC crown for UMW. Morse-Karzen went 3-0 in singles, all in straight sets, and 3-0 in doubles on the week to help UMW improve to 15-3 this season.
St. Mary's Freshman Monica Powell Named CAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

St. Marys freshman MONICA POWELL (Rockville, Md./Rockville) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Womens Tennis Player of the Week for March 31, 2008 after winning four of five matches and going undefeated against CAC competition. She posted singles and doubles wins in SMCs victories over Wesley and York to move into third place in the conference standings.

Salisbury junior ANNA MARIE KABLE (Parkton, Md./Notre Dame Prep) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Womens Tennis Player of the Week for March 24, 2008 after posting a 2-1 singles record and a 3-0 doubles mark, both at the No. 1 position, as the Sea Gulls went undefeated in Spring Break trip matches vs. Colorado College, Whittier and Occidental.
UMW Freshman Courtney Giomarac Named CAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

Mary Washington freshman COURTNEY GOIMARAC (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Womens Tennis Player of the Week for March 17, 2008 after moving up two positions to win a pair of No. 1 singles matches for the seventh-ranked Eagles. She also contributed to three victories as UMW took over top honors in the CAC and improved to 10-1 overall.

Mary Washington junior BECKY MORSE-KARZEN (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) was named the Capital Athletic Conference Womens Tennis Player of the Week award for March 10, 2008 after going undefeated during the spring season and leading the seventh-ranked Eagles to a 7-0 start. The junior All-American has also teamed with senior Natalia Fugate to post a perfect record at No. 1 doubles.
