Hood Sophomore Emily Maerz Named CAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

Hood sophomore EMILY MAERZ was named the CAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for April 19, 2011, after scoring all four of Hood’s points in Friday’s season-ending matches against York and St. Mary’s. Maerz led Blazers with a pair of shutouts in the two singles matches, which improved her record to 10-3 this season (5-2 in CAC play). She also led the way as Hood scored No. 1 doubles points against both the Seahawks and Spartans.
Salisbury Sophomore Elaina Iosue Picked For CAC Women's Tennis Weekly Award

Salisbury sophomore ELAINA IOSUE was named the CAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for April 12, 2011. Iosue went undefeated in four singles matches this week, including three at the No. 1 position against CAC rivals Hood, St. Mary’s and Stevenson, helping the Sea Gulls to an undefeated week.
Mary Washington Freshman Lindsay Raulston Picked For CAC Women's Tennis Weekly Honor

Mary Washington freshman LINDSAY RAULSTON was named the CAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after leading the 18th-ranked Eagles against two teams ranked in the Top 12 in the country. Raulston posted singles wins at the No. 5 position against both 7th-ranked Carnegie Mellon and 12th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus.
Mary Washington Senior Courtney Goimarac Captures CAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week Honor

Mary Washington senior COURTNEY GOIMARAC was named the CAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to five wins last week. Goimarac was undefeated in the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles position, leading 18th-ranked UMW to first place in the CAC with a 4-0 CAC record.
Salisbury Senior Angela Tenaglia Tabbed As CAC Women's Tennis Player Of The Week

Salisbury senior ANGELA TENAGLIA was named the CAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after leading the Sea Gulls to a pair of CAC shutout victories over the weekend. Tenaglia opened matches against Wesley and York with a victory at No. 1 doubles, then added straight-set victories in singles play to help the Sea Gulls move to the top of the CAC standings.

Salisbury sophomore JILLIAN POPPE was named the CAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after leading the Sea Gulls to a season-opening victory over Catholic University. Poppe posted a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles after teaming up with Angela Tenaglia for an 8-2 decision and a doubles team point.
