Southern Virginia sophomore Rachel Christensen was honored as the CAC Player of the Week after leading the Knights to a pair of team wins with 2-0 records at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. In a 9-0 win over Salem, Christensen won 8-0 at No. 1 doubles and outlasted her opponents 4-6, 6-0, 12-10 at No. 1 singles. In a 7-2 triumph over Meredith, Christensen won 8-2 in doubles and 7-5, 3-6, 10-1 in singles.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

In the ITA National Team Rankings, Mary Washington is ranked No. 16 and Christopher Newport is ranked No. 26 ... CNU's McKinney Harwood won both of her matches against regionally-ranked Centre. She teamed with Alexandra Drye for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles and earned a hard-fought win, 6-4, 6-7 (8), 10-8 at No. 2 singles. She helped CNU capture an 8-1 win for the team's fifth straight victory ... Mary Washington junior Danielle Mirabella won two of three singles matches this weekend, as UMW hosted three top-40 teams in MIT, Case Western, and Skidmore. She topped her opponent at five singles against MIT, 6-4, 6-0, and her opponent from Case Western, 6-0, 6-4. She is 8-1 on the spring ... Salisbury sophomore Julia Kwedi posted a 2-0 mark in the Sea Gulls most recent match against Occidental College, helping the Gulls to a 7-2 victory. Kwedi and her doubles partner Annika Kezman got the maroon and gold off to a solid start picking up an 8-1 victory in first doubles. Kwedi continued her success in No. 2 singles earning a 6-3, 6-1 victory.
