Wesley's Tristin Burris Named To Capital One Academic All-America Women's Track & Field Team

Wesley College's Tristin Burris has been named a Capital One Academic All-American® for NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field & Cross Country as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

A second team honoree, Burris is just the second Wolverine to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America® honors (Carle Ax, volleyball, 2011).

A senior out of Camden, Del., Burris accumulated a 3.98 grade point average with a bachelor's degree in media arts. The only student-athlete from the Capital Athletic Conference to be named to the Women's Track & Cross Country Academic All-America Team, Burris has also been named the CAC Woman of the Year Nominee and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as well as the 2012-13 Wesley College Co-Female Athlete of the Year.

In her four years competing on the Wolverines track & cross country teams, she owns a program-high nine school records on the track, including every race 1,000 meters or longer, as well as the javelin.  She was also a five-time CAC Cross Country Runner of the Week, the 2011 DSU Classic individual champion and holds the second-fasted 5K and sixth-fastest 6K in school history.

Burris also played field hockey, women's lacrosse and softball at Wesley to earn an impressive 20 varsity letters.
