Christopher Newport's Jennifer Westerholm Claims All-America Honors in Pentathlon at NCAA Indoor Championships

Christopher Newport's Jennifer Westerholm placed fifth in the pentathlon to secure All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at Grinnell College's Charles Benson Bear '39 Recreation and Athletic Center.

Wesley's Evelina Sloboh qualified for the finals of the 60-meter dash, taking fourth in the preliminaries with a time of 7.61, which broke her own CAC record. 

The Wesley 4x400 relay of Elizsha Streeter, Briana Artis, Quadira Minus and Angel Hall also qualified for Saturday's finals, finishing third in the prelims in a CAC record time of 3:52.01. 

In the pentathlon, Westerholm finished fifth with 3,325 points. In the combined event, her finest showing came in the high jump when she tied for fourth with a height of 1.61 meters. CNU's Briana Sutton also competed in the pentathlon, placing 10th with 3,186 points. 

Also competing for CNU was CAC Indoor Athlete of the Year Logan Harrington, who claimed 15th place in the 800 meters at 2:16.40. 

Frostburg State's Kayla Truesdel represented the Bobcats at the indoor championships, placing 17th in the 60 meters at 7.82 seconds.
