Salisbury's Shea McCloskey and Penn State Harrisburg's Sarah Lehman Honored CAC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- ​Salisbury junior Shea McCloskey and Penn State Harrisburg sophomore Sarah Lehman were honored as the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Dec. 4, 2018.

​Salisbury junior Shea McCloskey earned a first-place finish at the Eastern Shore Cappy Anderson Invite in the 800-meter dash coming home in a time of 2:24.81. Her time is the best in the CAC and ranks ninth in the country.

 

 

Field Athlete of the Week

Penn State Harrisburg's Sarah Lehman currently ranks in the top 10 in the nation in two jump events after the program's first meet of the 2018-19 indoor campaign. The 2018 outdoor all-American started off her sophomore season by winning the triple jump at Susquehanna's River Hawk Opener with a top leap of 11.28 meters. She also earned a runner-up finish in the long jump thanks to a top effort of 5.34 meters. Her triple jump effort was good enough to rank seventh in the country, while her long jump mark ranks 10th in NCAA Division III. She also took to the track and qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Southern Virginia's Jill Westman placed third overall in the 5000 meter-run recording a time of 20:55.52 and a seventh place finish in the mile running a 5:56.70...In her first collegiate event ever, Baylee Mulitalo placed second at the Bast-Cregger Invitational with a throw of 12.53m...Mary Washington's Erin Andrewlevich finished first in the 300 meters at the Bast Cregger Invitational in Roanoke, finishing with a school record time of 41.06. She was also part of the 4x200 meter relay that finished second at 1:50.32...Salisbury's Colleen Howard posted a second-place finish in the high jump clearing the bar at a height of 5' 3"...York's Sydney Fitzwater started her campaign in impressive fashion as she set a new school record at the F&M Diplomat Open on Saturday. Fitzwater finished fourth in the weight throw as she finished with a best throw of 14.39, setting a new Spartan school record. Fitzwater also finished 18th in the shot put with a best distance of 10.60 meters.
